Wildkatz 05 thrive on positive energy

West Coast Soccer Club 05 girls’ Wildkatz recently made some roster changes to the team and set out to see how the they would fair on the weekend.  The Wildkatz showed as a united team and a force to be reckoned with as they continued competition i the 04 Premier Fall League play and began NorCal State Cup 05 play.  WildKatz met second in points Cal Cougars 04 from Stockton.  West Coast Wildkatz dominated the ball and only allowed a few shots on goal keeper Bella Gelao.  WildKatz spent most of the game on Cal Cougars end of the field stringing beautiful passes together and eventually found the net 4 times with 2 goals each by Cami Silva and Karlee Lywandowsky.  With a 4-0 win the WildKatz took their third consecutive win while playing up an age group in the 04 bracket.   In the second match of the weekend, Wildkatz traveled to Castro Valley to meet Castro Valley AFC Academy 05.  Within the first 5 minutes of the game Cami Silva found the back of net and gave WildKatz an early lead.  Goals from Savannah Cordero, two from Krossfire 06 club player Alana Albarran, one from Krossfire 06 club player Kendra Riddiough, and another by Silva would end the half with a 6-0 lead for the WildKatz.  In the second half, the WildKatz continued to dominate and WildKatz defense including Madison Reid, Jazmine Staples, Taryn Richey, Sydney Goodwin, McKenna Galvan and Midfielders Jayden Morton and Nadia Sherman, Dakota Baird kept Castro Valley from getting any shots on goal.  Late in the second half, Karlee Lywandowsky found the net and minutes later Cordero scored again.  The match ended with a 8-0 shut out victory for WildKatz. The WildKatz set a new team record with 12 goals scored for and no goals against in the two games. “Amazing team and club effort by this young group, there is a new positive energy that flows throughout our team and club, it’s like a breath of fresh air. Everyone is feeling good and excited for the year ahead.”  Next up for WildKatz is the continuation of Fall League play in Clovis on Saturday, September 16th where they will meet Cal Odyssey 04.
