West Coast Wildfire starts the CRL season off right at the Ranch with a 4-1 win over Palo Alto SC Blue.
Forward Jaden Hall got things started with a pair of early goals assisted one each by Kayla Grisham and Julianne Munoz and helped christen West Coast new soccer field with a great inaugural day victory. Arianna Moore, Meridith Hagler, Fayth Hinojosa, and Kate Wallace played solid defense to hold off Palo Alto’s fast moving offense. Palo Alto wouldn’t give up and found the net just before the half ended. Heather Tarabini came out firing in the second half scoring on an assist from Samantha Montes. Savannah Seals scored the final goal assisted by a nice cross from Kate Wallace. Throughout the second half Wildfire defense continued to dominate play blanking Palo Alto’s offense to end with a final score of 4-1. “The girls are showing some great growth from when we formed the team until now. They are really beginning to understand their roles and the system of play” said coach Dayak who has the U17 Wildfire sitting at the top of the table for two separate playing leagues, NPL & CRL.
