West Coast U17G Wild Advance to the State Cup Final 4

Well there wasn’t anything resembling boring soccer between the current CYSA State Champions Santa Clara Sporting 97 vs the Current Norcal State Champion West Coast Wild as this exciting match ended regulation time with a 1-1 tie. The first goal of the game was scored by newcomer Devyn Gilfoy to give the early lead to West Coast, Jessica Yu Sporting superstar forward would even the score with a spectacular left footed shot. The game went into two 5 minute overtime periods, Sporting’s Juliana De Tar, against the run of play scored on a fast counter in the first OT period. Wild came storming back with a Malay of offensive assault resulting in a foul in the box where Kasidee Wiley stepped up to score the PK to end the game 2-2. The Penalty kicks would go 6 rounds, WCS GK Jessica Lima came up big against her former club (Sporting) stopping 3 pks. Kasidee Wiley, Autumn Smithers & Devyn Gilfoy slotted their shots for West Coast & it came to both teams 6 shooter. Another new member to Wild Robyn McCarthy calmly stepped up & got the game winner!! Wild are 2013 & 2014 back to back State Champion, Regional & National Champions and we recently ranked #1 in the nation by Gotsoccer and are now one step closer to defend their State Level Cup title and a three peat.
