The West Coast Wildfire U15 girls finish the 2014/2015 Norcal State Cup 5th out of 150 teams. The Wildfire made it into the quarterfinals and was seated against the number one team in Northern California. The Wildfire team went undefeated throughout State Cup preliminary, secondary, and knockout phases.
The Wildfire has played a number of college showcase tournaments this spring where they showed strong against top ranked teams from all over the country. They recently played in the prestigious Players’ Showcase in Las Vegas where they went 3-0-1.
The girls are currently playing in the Norcal Premier Spring NPL league and are sitting at the top of their division with an undefeated record. This past weekend they easily handed Bay Oaks Storm a 4-0 shutout. They also traveled to Visalia to deliver a 2-1 defeat to Cal Odyssey. In addition to NPL, Wildfire plays in the California Regional League (CRL). Many of the top teams in Northern California participate in the CRL.
Wildfire will play in the their clubs own tournament the West Coast Orange Bowl Memorial weekend to get them ready For a busy summer season of college showcases. In June the girls compete in the U.S. Club Regionals. In July, they will play at the Davis College Showcase. And just recently, the team along with its sister teams Wonder & Wild were accepted into the prestigious San Diego Surf Cup. That’s an unprecedented four West Coast teams heading to Soccerloco Surf Cup to face top teams from all over the country.
The West Coast Wildfire is one of the original teams established by West Coast Soccer Club. In a few short years, the girls have advanced into one of the top teams in all of Northern California.
