West Coast Kryptonite 07G defeat 1st place Diablo FC

The West Coast Kryptonite 07 Girls played with a lot of heart this weekend in two games battling through injuries, and sickness. Highlight of the weekend was a 4-3 victory over first place and undefeated Diablo FC Blue. It was a back and forth match with the Kryptonite remaining composed and showing great skill to overcome the physical play they encountered.  The front line of Athena Taylor, Jariah Indalecio, Jayden Reynolds, and Nikki Orth proved too much for the DFC defence. Midfield was controlled by Ella Nguyen, Kambrie Jehs, and Aubrey Westbrook. While the defense of Nylah Trias, Madden Black, Kendall Shetter, and Skyler Patillo stood strong on the defensive end. Piper Sweeney was a wall in goal making several key saves. “I am so very proud of the improvement this team has made over the course of the season and very excited for what the future holds. They are an intelligent group of young ladies who are able to soak up information and execute on the field.” Coach Sara Girotto said about her teams performance. Currently the West Coast Kryptonite are 5-1-1 in the Gold Division of Region 3/4 with four league games left to play.
