West Coast Wild compete in the two top CA state playing leagues CYSA- CRL (California Regional League) & Norcal- NPL (Champions League). Wild ended their U18 divisional play with an important victory over rival LaMorinda club placing them at the top of the Eastern group with 4 straight victories & 12 pts. Wild will now have to wait to see who claims the top spot in the west for a CRL championship game to be held on November 8th. The winner of this game will be awarded the spot to represent California at regionals in 2016. Lamorinda made it a game when they took the lead last Sunday in the 8th minute with a long shot from LaMo Centerback that flew into the upper corner. Wild did not panic and steadily went to work wearing down Lamorinda’s passing game with powerful runs forward. The game changer was Melissa Ellis coming off a injury entered the game and scored two stunning goals. The team defense held strong and all their players played a perfect second half to preserve the victory. Wild next game will be state cup group play where they will attempt to defend their three-peat state title.
