WCS U17G Wild Win Second Game of Group Play

West Coast Wild, 2014 National Champions and two time defending State Cup Champions are off to a good start in their quest for a three peat!!! Sunday Oct. 12th West Coast Wild faced off against a tough Almaden Quicksilver team that was out to prove that they should be in the top flight of State Cup group play. It wasn’t until the second half when the Wild finally were able to break down the Almaden defense with a nice goal from Melissa Ellis in the 70th minute. Emilie Allum scored the second goal at the 75 minute mark to put the Wild up by two. GK Amanda Valentine and Melina Beard registered shutouts in both halves of play as the Wild continue their streak with 7 wins in a row. Coach Dayak said “West Coast Wild put themselves in a good position to compete for a chance at two State Titles this year.”
