WCS U10G Krush Take Over Top Spots in League and State Cup

On Saturday morning West Coast’s U10 Krush was set to take on Pleasanton Rage in a battle for the top spot in NorCal Fall League Gold Division. Nadia Sherman started off the scoring for Krush, netting a free kick to put Krush up 1-0. Later in the 1st half Arianna Butler hit a beautiful pass to Hailey Bracket who hit a rocket into the net to put Krush up 2-0. Dakota Baird finished off the 1st half scoring getting a rebound goal to put Krush up 3-0 going into halftime.

The second half saw Rage come out firing as they were able to get 2 goals to pull within 1. Krush defense, anchored by Sydney Goodwin, Mina Shokoor, and Arianna locked down the Rage offensive pushes. Ciella Seals was able to add an insurance goal for Krush, leading to a 4-2 win. That win pushed Krush up into the top spot in the Gold Division with 4 games remaining on the schedule.

Sunday morning saw Krush playing their last State Cup game of the 1st round against Manteca FC Benfica. The game was very physical throughout. Manteca was awarded a penalty kick in the first half from a handball in the box. Goalkeeper Jillian Barth made the play of the day diving to her right and blocking the shot, keeping the game locked at 0-0. You could see the momentum turn in Krush’s favor after that brilliant save. Nadia was able to get 2 balls into the net while Ciella was able to add a third goal. Brilliant play by all throughout the game led to the 3-0 victory. This win puts Krush in a tie at the top within their bracket with both Livermore Fusion and Manteca.

Next up for Krush is 2 big league games on next weekend against Livermore Fusion and Dublin High Energy.
