West Coast’s U8 Klash 2010 team has been refining their skills and footwork. On Saturday they got a chance to scrimmage Impact’s U9 team from Brentwood. They may have faced older opposition but team Klash was the bigger team that day. The girls came in with game faces and ready to use their skills and show their grit. Kylie Lorier and Lexie Gomez did an amazing job at defense as the opposing team was ever able to get to the net. Delaney Miskella, Tatum Conover, and Kaylee Gilbert worked up the field in offense and showed tremendous passing skills; connecting passes like veterans. All players shared in scoring and Conover, Gomez, and Miskella did a great job at goal.
Monday, team Klash had an opportunity to participate in a Back to School Drive. The team came together and donated school supplies that will be used for kids in foster care through the Sleeptrain’s Foster Kids Program. It was a great opportunity to learn how lucky they are and also learn that giving back is important and necessary as all children deserve a chance to be prepared on the first day of school.
