WCS 04 Wicked take two against Fusion and ACC

West Coast Soccer Wicked U13 Girls are on a roll win a pair of wins. The local Derby was on Saturday vs Livermore Fusion SC. West Coast Wicked combined for quality passes and great ball movement led by the center midfielders. The first half goals came from two corner kicks struck beautifully by the Emma Valadez which found a leaping Kailey Matta on the half volley shot and another by Makeila Yancey to go up 2-0 at half. Livermore Fusion fought hard and had some great speed in their backline but were ultimately outmatched In the second half as the fitness kicked in and Makeila Yancey raced away with a “hat-trick”, three more goals for a total of four goals and two assists. Aryana Jones had an assist while Maria Rebolledo and outside defender Sabrina Rogers both contributed for other goals leading to a 7-0 West Coast result. West Coast Derby shutout of crosstown rival was supported by defenders Samantha Remy, Andrea Castillo, Jade Castillo, and GoalKeeper Indianna Stoneberger

Sunday, April 9th Wicked continued with passionate play earning a 3-1 victory over the impressive ACC Mavericks. WCS Makeila Yancey started her scoring early in the first half but Mavericks answered with a direct kick at the top of the box to tie the game 1-1. Second half proved to be a battle but Wicked showed they wanted it more. Makeila Yancey went on to score two more for another hat-trick three goal game.  Makeila has set the bar high and is on a role with seven goals and two assist on the weekend, she has really stepped into her new role with great confidence says West Coast Coach Amber King.
