Krew go Undefeated in Manteca Playdate!

West Coast Soccer Club U9 Krew had another successful playdate on Sunday, May 4, in Manteca. In the first match of the day, Krew took the field against Pleasanton Rage White. Both teams battled back and forth. Krew’s defense and goalies held Rage scoreless and despite many shots on goal, Krew couldn’t score and the game ended in a 0 – 0 tie. In the second game of the day, Krew faced Castro Valley United White. In the first half of play, both teams had a strong defense and the score was 0 – 0 at the half. The second half started with a great pass from Ellia Revino to Taryn Richey. Richey took the ball down to goal and scored. Shortly after the goal, Ellia Revino made an incredible corner kick to Taryn Richey and Richey booted the ball into the goal. Krew’s defense and goalies held Castro Valley scoreless and the match ended with a Krew victory 2 – 0. In the final match of the day, Krew took the field against Placer United Black. Early in the match, Mia Mirante made a booming kick into the goal with an assist by Mia Hess. Krew and Castro Valley battled for the remainder of the game, but no further goals were made. Krew ended the playdate with 2 wins and 1 tie. Up next for Krew is the San Ramon playdate on May 18th.
