Norcal fall league continued on for the West Coast WolfPack last Saturday as they took on Mustang in Livermore. The Wolfpack came into Saturday as the top offense in their league and wouldn’t let the physical play of Mustang slow them down. In the seventh minute Allison Edgemon scored the first goal of the game off of an assist by Skye Merlin. Mustang struck back with a goal of their own but at the end of the first half, Jazzlyn Gonzalez scored on a beautifully placed Skye Merlin corner kick to give the Wolfpack a 2-1 half time lead. The ball movement and possession of the Pack would prove to be to much for Mustang to handle in the second half. Skye Merlin hooked a corner kick in for the third West Coast goal of the game. Defender Addison McNeil in her second game back from a broken arm dribbled through the Mustang midfield before passing the ball to a open Jazzlyn Gonzalez for Jazzlyn’s second goal of the game. Sofia Paz scored the final goal of the game after receiving a nice pass from Taylor Conover and gave the Wolfpack a 5-1 final over Mustang. Goal keeper Parker Black and fullback Cailey Sasaki played a great second half and turned away any attack Mustang shot at them. The West Coast Wolfpack currently sit in first place of league at 5-0 and are the highest scoring team with a 26-4 goal differential. The Wolfpack team will take on Fusion SC in league and will play Mustang in State Cup next Sunday.
